About the client

Al Ain Zoo is one of the UAE’s premier environmental, recreational, and educational destinations, offering families and visitors the opportunity to experience animals in habitats resembling their natural environments. Spanning four kilometers, it is home to over 4,000 animals across 200 species.
The Sheikh Zayed Desert Learning Centre, located within the zoo, is a LEED Platinum-certified facility that features five interactive galleries showcasing the UAE’s rich natural heritage and promoting sustainable living practices.

Scope of work

Oxford Systems Integration LLC was tasked with establishing a non-comprehensive operation and maintenance contract for AV and ICT systems at Al Ain Zoo. The scope included: 

Resident Engineer Support: Onsite resident engineer for preventive and corrective maintenance during zoo operational hours. 

Fault Rectification: Diagnosing and resolving software/hardware issues and escalating cases requiring specialized manpower. 

Hardware Replacement: Maintenance and replacement of faulty hardware, including customized solutions. 

Customization and Reconfiguration: Mechanical customizations, rebranding, and reinstallation of systems as needed. 

Software Maintenance: Regular updates, patch releases, and maintenance of all system software. 

Event Support: Onsite assistance for major events and meetings. 

Spare Management: Maintaining a stock of spares for critical AV equipment as per the agreement. 

Detailed Reporting: Providing comprehensive fault reports and recommendations for system improvements.
